Speak the truth they said, people will be offended they never said.

This is my first post, and the topic I have taken is hardcore.
I'm so used to typing on facebook and messengers, that not using 'smileys' is going to be tough.

Lets begin.
I stay in a country called India, so I'm writing this article with the very fear of police arriving at my doorstep any minute. The deal is, if any minister does not like anything shared on the 'web' they get the person arrested. I do not have any personal issues with them, but you see, it's truth being spread which hurts them.

Truth : the quality or state of being true.

As a child, we're all taught one thing - 'always speak the truth'.
As we grow up, we learn - 'when to lie'.

If hearing the truth really that bad?
How about someone compliments you this way - "Hey babe, you look really pretty this morning."
Now try this - "Hey babe, did you not do your hair? The gloss on your lips shines more than Edward Culen. Sigh! You really need to lose a few pounds."
So, what makes us feel better? The compliment right? If we actually see, we're living a lie. All of us. Even the actresses.
Yes, they look pretty with the make-up on. But obviously it's a lie when some of them are complimented on their 'acting' skills.

Gone are the days when everyone believed in doing what is right and speaking the truth.
To survive in this world we have to differentiate between ethics and moral.
Quoting a very famous song by Bob Dylan : The time they are a-changin'

But there are some people who always want to speak the truth.
They believe in that moral.
My advice : Use sarcasm - you will stay out of trouble.

So, here's our conclusion : SARCASM !!!

Best way to speak the truth. It's a joke with a lesson is how I describe it.

P.S. : Being a student of law - wherever there is a mention of 'he' it also includes 'her'.

  3. Great one Shilpa! Although what we speak comes down to the play involved right? You can't just walk upto a girl and say "Hey, you are not that pretty big I really want to take you out tonight in hopes of getting lucky". That just can't happen! Can it? ;-) :-D
